The Legal Remedy location at Riverwalk in Rock Hill closed. Here’s what we know
The Legal Remedy Brewing Company site in Riverwalk is closed.
LRB Riverwalk posted Sunday morning on its Facebook page that the eatery “is closed today” and apologizes for any inconvenience to customers. The same page lists LRB Riverwalk as permanently closed in its “about” information section.
A co-owner of Legal Remedy Brewing posted in an online Rock Hill food group on Facebook, in a post about the closure and how employees were informed, that employees were told in-person about the decision.
Asked via Facebook message for details, the LRB page owner responded the site has closed and staff from the Riverwalk site “will be offered the opportunity to work elsewhere within the company, if they wish.”
Legal Remedy has its original Rock Hill location on Oakland Avenue. That site isn’t open on Mondays.
Legal Remedy Brewing began in 2009 when five Fort Mill friends began a craft brewing business. The company bought a Rock Hill site in 2015 and converted it into a brewery and brewpub.
The expansion to 1157 Herrons Ferry Road in Riverwalk has seen prior change. Last year owners of the restaurant changed its Cantina concept with a switch to a farm-to-table, elevated Southern food menu. That move brought the new LRB Riverwalk name.
Legal Remedy is a staple on the YoCo Brew Trail and other activities that promote a growing brewery scene throughout Rock Hill and Fort Mill.
