A popular food stop is moving from Indian Land to Fort Mill. Here’s the plan

Southern Olive announced a move from its Indian Land home to Fort Mill. Plans are to open the new location Feb. 1.

The Southern Olive Facebook page made the announcement Monday. After almost seven years in Indian Land, the new spot will be in Baxter.

“It is time for a change and new direction of our business,” reads the post Monday.

The change will involve more gluten free groceries, cooking classes and demonstrations to teach a gluten free lifestyle. The bakery, wine and gluten free beer and cider will remain but Southern Olive won’t offer coffee, tea, smoothies or kombucha following the move. The change will bring additional hours open.

The new spot is a little more than eight miles from the existing one.

The new spot is at 940 Market St., suite 116. It’s next to TCBY. The current Charlotte Highway spot is part of the Publix shopping center.
