Rock Hill region $1 million sales include Fort Mill church buying an old town hall

A Fort Mill church buying a former town hall, a Rock Hill shopping center sale and nearly two dozen homes are among the region’s biggest property deals this spring.

York and Lancaster counties combined for more than 30 sales at $1 million or more in April, land records show. Most of them were home sales, spread across Lake Wylie, Tega Cay, Fort Mill and Indian Land.

A Holbrook Road property in Fort Mill brought the highest price among homes at $1.8 million. It was one of three homes, with the other two in Lake Wylie, at $1.5 million or more. Use the map below for more details:

Rock Hill region million-dollar land sales

Along with the homes, several large deals include a shopping area near the Galleria mall. Here’s a look at those deals.

  • Mount Pleasant-based Millburn Holdings bought the shopping center at 1522 and 1526 Meeting Blvd. in Rock Hill on April 1 for $7.1 million. The 14-acre site near Galleria Mall is two properties, with a combined 132,000 square feet that includes Kohl’s, Hobby Lobby, Plato’s Closet and several other stores. The shopping area was built in 2007.
  • Homebuilder Lennar Carolinas bought 16 Lancaster County home lots on April 13 for $2.6 million. They’re on Waxhaw Village, Good Day Drive and Redbud Road.
  • First Baptist Church of Fort Mill bought the former Fort Mill Town Hall site at 200 Tom Hall St. on April 16 for $2.4 million. The building also was a Comporium office before the town purchased it in 2017. The property is nearly 3 acres. The site became available when the town bought the former Springs Industries executive building, moving town functions there.
  • Texas-based Weekley Homes bought eight Rock Hill properties on Perthwood Street and Cape Cod Way on April 2 for $2.2 million. The home sites are part of the next phase of the Hardy Pond subdivision.
  • Lancaster-based Faithfull Woods bought nearly 12 acres on the west side of Charlotte Highway in Lancaster County on April 16 for $1.6 million. The site is south of North Corner Road.
  • Charlotte-based Eastwood Construction Partners bought 10 Rock Hill lots for the Waterford Commons neighborhood on April 13 for $1.4 million. The properties are on Clovis, Cambria and Ocala Street, and Crooked Stick Drive.
  • A private owner bought 52 acres of wooded property on Nalley Road in Rock Hill on April 13 for $1.3 million. The site is just east of the city airport.
  • Florida-based Dream Founders bought 10 lots in York on April 24 for $1.2 million. They’re part of the McFarland Estates subdivision, on Emily Katelyn Road.
  • Florida company Veer bought a nearly 3-acre tract at 110 Church St. in McConnells on April 30 for $1.2 million. It’s a more than 12,000-square-foot Dollar General store.
  • A private Charlotte owner bought less than an acre of vacant commercial property in Rock Hill on April 23 for $1.1 million. The 4971 Old York Road site is just west of Miller Pond Road.
  • A private owner bought 10 acres at 4389 and 4427 Concord Road on April 20 for $1.1 million. The property is near the Concord Road bridge on Lake Wylie.
