UPDATE: York County girl found safe after she was missing for hours, deputies say

A 9-year-old girl who had been missing in York County has been found safe, deputies said.

Skylar Govan was found at a home about a mile from her house in the 3400 block of McConnells Highway west of York near Sharon, said Trent Faris, spokesman for the York County Sheriff’s Office. Skylar was last seen around midnight by her grandmother, Faris said.

Skylaw had gone to a home of someone she knew and was found there after 10 a.m., Faris said.

“She was hungry but fine,” Faris said.
