A day after one six-figure lottery win in York County, another hits big

Another six-figure York County lottery winner has reason to celebrate.

A day after the South Carolina Education Lottery announced a $300,000 ticket was sold in Clover, another was sold in Rock Hill. MV Seafood Market at 463 W. Main St. sold the $300,000 ticket.

“I just happened to stop by the store,” the winner told lottery officials, according to a release Thursday.

The winner told officials a new car is on his list after the $10 Mega Bucks scratch-off ticket hit for a top prize. The lottery didn’t name the Rock Hill or Clover winners. Winners aren’t required to be named in South Carolina.

The Seafood Market gets $3,000 for selling the winning ticket. Odds of the top prize in the Mega Bucks game are 1 in 780,000.

The Clover win, where a player scratched off his ticket while waiting on a pizza, came from South Main Mustang on South Main Street. That win in the $10 Xtreme Purple Multiplier game had a 1 in 900,000 odds for the top prize.
