Rock Hill Pride Festival begins Sunday. Here’s a look at the schedule.

Downtown Rock Hill will be awash in color during the second week of June when the city kicks off its sixth annual Rock Hill Pride Festival.

The festival will be held from Sunday, June 14, to Saturday, June 20, with both free and paid events occurring daily throughout the city’s downtown corridor.

Here’s what to know about the event.

Schedule of events

Rock Hill Pride Festival will feature 14 free and paid events.

  • June 14 — Buff Faye’s Drag Lunch, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Kounter, tickets start at $55.09.
  • June 15 — One Act Pride Plays with Main Street Theater, 7 p.m, upstairs at The Mercantile, free
  • June 15 — P-Flag Football, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Confederate Park, free to play, donations encouraged
  • June 16 — One Act Pride Plays with Main Street Theater, 7 p.m., upstairs at The Mercantile, free
  • June 17 — March for Equality, 6:30 p.m., upstairs at The Mercantile, free
  • June 17 — Pride and Prose, 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., upstairs at the Mercantile, free
  • June 17 — Family Music Bingo, 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Burro Alley, free
  • June 18 — Roaring 20s Pride Bingo, 6:30 p.m., The Gathering Space, $25
  • June 19 — Steampunk Masquerade Youth Prom, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., upstairs at the Mercantile, $10, high school ages only
  • June 19 — Roaring 20s White Party, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Elsie’s and The Gathering Space, $50, 21+
  • June 19 — RH Pride Pageant, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., The Hide-A-Way, free
  • June 20 — Outdoor Festival, music performances, vendors and kids’ parade, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • June 20 — Pride Wine and Biergarten, 11 a.m to 2 p.m., The Burrow, $15, 21+

What to expect

Brittany Kelly, co-owner of The Mercantile general store and coffee shop and the founder of Rock Hill Pride in 2021, said she is expecting over 15,000 attendees next week.

Kelly said the festival will include 12 main sponsors, 34 local businesses and 152 total vendors. While it is not recognized as an official city event, she said the city provides Rock Hill Pride with police officers and other resources.

Businesses who make a $75 minimum donation can be listed as an “ally” on the festival website and map. There are 27 business allies during next week’s pride, including Rock Hill Brewing Co., Ay Papi Tacos and Tequila and Sleeping Giant Distillery.
