A Rock Hill man scratched off his lottery ticket at the car wash. It was a clear winner

A Rock Hill man scratched off a $300,000 winner, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The man bought the $10 Instant Jackpot ticket at Little Giant No. 5 on Dave Lyle Boulevard. He was at the car wash when he scratched it off and found out he won. The store gets $3,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The man chose not to be identified, something South Carolina winners are allowed to do. According to the lottery, the man said he’s now out of debt and may take a vacation.

The odds of the top prize win are 1 in 900,000. One more top prize remains in the game.
