A Powerball ticket sold at a Food Lion in Chester SC is now worth $2 million

Anyone who bought a Powerball ticket in Chester for Saturday night’s drawing, will probably want to check those numbers.

A ticket sold at Food Lion on J.A. Cochran Bypass in Chester won $2 million. The ticket matched all five white numbers. That ticket won at 1 in 11,688,054 odds. Because the player bought a PowerPlay feature for $1, the winning amount doubled to $2 million.

The owner of the winning ticket has 180 days to claim the prize. The winning Powerball numbers from the drawing Saturday are 6, 40, 41, 45 and 52, with Powerball No. 9.

More than 12,000 South Carolina players won prizes from $4 to $2 million, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
