The search for a 95-year-old Arkansas woman who has been missing since Feb. 6 continues, but there hasn’t been a trace of her in nearly two weeks, according to police.
Belva Day of Mountain Home, described in a Silver Alert as a 5-foot-2-inch tall, 100-pound white woman with gray hair and blue eyes, was last seen paying her utility bill at an electric company in Mountain Home on Feb. 6, Arkansas State Police said, according to KAIT.
Her car, a beige Buick LeSabre with an Arkansas license plate number “USADOGN,” was spotted on surveillance cameras later that day, KTLO reported.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Mountain Home Police at (870) 425-6336, the Silver Alert from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety said.
Seamans told KAIT her license plate hasn’t been spotted since Feb. 6, and there aren’t many other ways of tracking her.
Authorities told the Batesville Tribune that Day doesn’t have a cellphone, use debit or credit cards or have OnStar in her vehicle.
“It’s like she just disappeared into thin air,” Seamans told KAIT.
A timeline of sightings of Day’s car compiled by the Batesville Tribune begins in Mountain View, where she lives, at 2 p.m. From there, her car was spotted in the cities of Gepp, Calico Rock, Melbourne, Batesville and finally Southside at 4:57 p.m. on Feb. 6. She was heading south on Highway 167.
The Tribune reported that Day has no known connections to Batesville, so it’s unclear why she would drive there. She hasn’t been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, according to the Tribune.
Law enforcement is asking area residents and businesses to review their security camera footage to look for sightings of her or her vehicle, the Tribune reports.
