A dog found herself 100-feet below a ledge after jumping from her owner’s car, Colorado rescuers said.

The “sweet” pup was visiting the National Monument in Grand Junction with her owner from out of town when they pulled over to get a better look at the view, according to an April 2 Facebook post by the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.

The owner opened the car door to take her dog along with her but the “excitement” led the dog to leap, causing her to plunge 100 feet, deputies said.

She landed on a shelf and waited until deputies arrived with a dog catching pole and rope, officials said.

Rescue personnel can be seen pulling someone holding the dog up to safety, a video showed.

Although she’d endured a 100-foot fall, the dog was walking once rescuers got her over the edge, officials said.

She was taken to the emergency vet but rescuers didn’t specify her condition, officials said.

Mesa County is about a 260-mile drive southwest of Denver.
