Fort Mill has a new-to-the-area beverage site signed on to fill out a growing new development.

Warren Norman Company now has a lease signed with Kung Fu Tea. It will be the first York County location for the bubble tea company, in the new shopping center on S.C. 160 across from the Baxter convenience center.

The Baxter-area store will be the fourth South Carolina site. Kung Fu Tea also has three Charlotte-area locations.

The coming site will be more than 1,200 square feet just beside the planned Chipotle Mexican Grill. That restaurant has a late summer opening planned, after a Chipotle recently opened in Indian Land.

Other additions to the new shopping center are planned. It has more than 6,000 square feet of space still available.

Kung Fu Tea will offer a variety of bubble teas, a Tiawanese drink where tea is mixed with milk or fruit and topped with tapioca pearls. The online menu shows green, longan jujube and honey oolong teas; red bean, Oreo and herbal jelly wow milk strikes; mango green tea, rosehip lemonade and grapefruit green tea punches; milk caps, slushes and other drinks.

The addition continues business growth in a busy area. The nearby Shoppes at 160 project has recent signings and openings like HealthMax Center, Firehouse Subs, MyEyeDr., Bliss Nail Spa and an ABC store. Brayden Village, at Brayden Village Parkway and S.C. 160 between Fort Mill and Tega Cay, adds Inizio Pizza Napoletana, Super Chix Chicken & Custard, Duck Donuts, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, Sola Salon Studios, Pacific Dental, ISI Elite Training and Trendy Nail Bar.
